Finding a roof leak is sometimes harder than fixing it.
Water does not always enter the roof directly above the stain you see inside your home. It can enter through one area and travel along the roof deck or rafters before appearing somewhere else.
That is why we look for the actual source of the leak instead of simply patching the area closest to the water stain.
Matching existing shingles can also be challenging. Over time, shingles fade from sun exposure. A new shingle may look slightly different from the surrounding shingles at first.
Older roofs can also have discontinued shingle products, which means an exact match may not always be available. If that is the case, we’ll explain your options before starting the repair.
Sometimes a homeowner calls us for a repair, but the inspection shows that the roof has larger problems.
If your roof has multiple leaks, widespread shingle damage, or is near the end of its expected lifespan, a full replacement may be the better option.
We’ll explain what we find and help you understand your options.

A roof repair usually costs less than a full roof replacement.
If the damage was caused by a storm or strong winds, your homeowners insurance may cover some or all of the repair. Coverage depends on your policy and what caused the damage.
We can help document the damage and guide you through the process.

Smaller roof repairs often do not require the same permitting process as a full roof replacement.
However, permit requirements can depend on the type and size of the repair. We’ll let you know if your specific project requires a permit before work begins.
