Roofing services for Estelle homes

Here is what we handle for roofing in Estelle. Our Metairie office serves Estelle, about 19 miles and 30 minutes away. We do not have an office in Estelle. Lone Wolf Roofing is a woman-owned and family-owned company.

Roof repair

Leaks, damaged shingles, and failed flashing can let water into the home. A repair fixes the problem area without replacing the whole roof. If your Estelle roof was patched after Ida, an old patch can fail years later. If the damage is widespread, we will tell you. See roof repair.

Roof replacement

When a roof is worn out or too damaged to repair, a full replacement is the answer. Your estimate lays out the scope of the work. In unincorporated Jefferson Parish, replacing 50% or more of the roof covering needs a re-roofing permit, so ask any roofer who handles it. See roof replacement.

Storm damage restoration

Wind and heavy rain can damage shingles, flashing, soffit, and fascia. After Ida, the parish said nearly every home in Jefferson Parish reported roof damage. We inspect the damage and help you understand the next steps, including the insurance claim process. Take photos before any cleanup. See storm damage restoration and roof insurance claims.

IBHS FORTIFIED roofing

FORTIFIED is a program for building roofs to a stronger standard, and we are an IBHS FORTIFIED Roofing Contractor. Eligibility and incentives change, so ask us about current details. If you are planning a replacement, ask about it first. See FORTIFIED roofing.

Roof inspections

An inspection tells you the condition of your roof and whether it needs repair, replacement, or nothing yet. It is free. We check the shingles, flashing, gutters, and attic vents. It does not tell you your flood zone. See roof inspection.

Commercial roofing

We also work on commercial buildings. We install, replace, and repair commercial roofs. We also offer roof coating. See commercial roofing.

Re-roofing in unincorporated Jefferson Parish: the 50% rule and photo proof

Estelle is unincorporated, so it has no city hall of its own. Roof permits go through the Jefferson Parish Department of Building Permits.
Since August 5, 2023, the parish requires a re-roofing permit before 50% or more of the roof covering is replaced on a one- or two-family home. The permit is applied for online. Instead of an inspector visit, the parish asks for dated, location-stamped photos of the work. Call the department at (504) 736-6957 to confirm what applies to your home.
Louisiana also requires roofers to hold a state license. Ask any roofer for their license number and check it with the state licensing board.

Roofs patched after Ida deserve a second look

Estelle is on the West Bank of the Mississippi River, in Jefferson Parish. After Hurricane Ida in 2021, the parish’s emergency management director said nearly every home in Jefferson Parish reported roof damage.
If your roof was patched, covered with a temporary sheet, or only partly repaired, a small gap can hide for years and show up later as a ceiling stain.
A roof inspection checks the roof itself: the shingles, the flashing (the metal around chimneys and vents), the gutters, and the attic vents. It cannot tell you your flood zone or whether you need flood insurance.

What Our Estelle Customers Say

warranty certificate

What our workmanship warranty means for your Estelle roof

An Estelle roof has to handle Gulf hurricanes and long, heavy rains, and that puts the weight on how well it is installed. Lone Wolf Roofing backs its installations with a 100-Year Workmanship Warranty. When your job is done, you receive a certificate showing coverage for 100 years from the date printed on it.
The warranty applies to covered problems caused by faulty or improper workmanship in our installation. It does not cover how long the roof or materials last, and manufacturer warranties on the materials are separate. If you sell your Estelle home, the workmanship warranty can pass to the new owner one time. Eligibility rules, conditions, limits, and exclusions in the written warranty apply. Read the full terms on the 100-Year Workmanship Warranty page.
Keep your certificate. It also gets you 15% off future siding, patio, or other exterior projects with Lone Wolf Roofing.

Two ways to lower the cost of a roof

10% appreciation discount

Lone Wolf Roofing offers a 10% appreciation discount to veterans, active military members, emergency responders, and seniors. Mention it when you contact us. We will explain how it applies before work begins. It does not apply automatically to every service, product, fee, upgrade, or project. Read the details on our Veteran and Senior Appreciation Discount page.

price match guarantee

Price Match Guarantee

Have another roofing quote? Lone Wolf Roofing will beat a qualifying apples-to-apples roofing quote by $500. That means both quotes cover the same work. We compare roof size, materials, flashing, ventilation, cleanup, warranty, and what is included or left out. It is not an automatic discount. We review the quotes first, and the written terms apply. Read the details on our Price Match Guarantee page.

What Estelle homeowners ask before a re-roof

My Estelle home has a Marrero or Harvey mailing address. Who issues my roof permit?
Estelle, Marrero, and Harvey are all unincorporated parts of Jefferson Parish, so your mailing address does not change the office. Roof permits go through the Jefferson Parish Department of Building Permits. Call (504) 736-6957 to confirm what applies to your home.
In unincorporated Jefferson Parish, a re-roofing permit is required before 50% or more of the roof covering is replaced on a one- or two-family home. That includes a roof destroyed by a storm. The parish lists a $50 flat fee, paid online, and the work must follow the 2021 International Residential Code. Confirm the current fee and your case with the parish.
The parish asks for dated, location-stamped photos at set stages, with at least one photo of each side of the roof. The stages include:
  • Before the self-adhering underlayment or strips are covered.
  • The drip edge nailing pattern, before it is covered.
  • The shingle nailing pattern, before it is covered, plus the shingle packaging with the maker’s installation instructions.

Metal roofs have their own photo stages. The roofer or homeowner submits the photos, and the parish checks them. The parish says this paperwork can help homeowners show their insurance company that the roof meets code, or meet roofing grant requirements. Before you sign with any roofer, ask who will submit the permit and the photos.
Yes. We serve Estelle from our Metairie office, about 19 miles and roughly 30 minutes away, across the Mississippi River. We do not have an office in Estelle. The first step is a free roof inspection or free roofing estimate. Call 504-230-6512 or use our contact page, and we will confirm the next available appointment.
Check these signs:
  • Ceiling stains that are brown, spreading, or soft to the touch.
  • Bubbling or peeling paint, or drywall that sags.
  • A musty smell, or wet insulation in the attic.

Take photos of everything before you clean up. Water will keep coming through until the roof is fixed, so have the roof inspected first. Otherwise, new drywall and insulation can get wet again. If you plan to file an insurance claim, keep your photos and receipts.
